Can't sleep. Clowns will kill me.
...Okay, I know there aren't really clowns around waiting to kill me, and that it's all in my head. Doesn't mean it's any easier to try to stop jumping at shadows.
Stupid clowns.

She shoves harder at his shoulder, aiming a kick toward his shins. "That wasn't a request. Back off."

He stops trying to reach for her, tilting his head sharply. "Shall I tell you how I got 'em?" And he grabs at her head again.

Considering the invisibility, she might have the skills, but if she sets them off in his face, she'll be setting them off in her own, and he doubts she really wants that pretty face ruined.

She's probably going to have a massive headache later, but she hopes she can give the clown one, too. She snaps the fingers of the hand that's not holding his wrist in front of his face, and with a word, sets off a round of fireworks between their faces.
It's an illusion, so it doesn't actually hurt either of them, but the light flashes, and the sound is deafening. She uses the distraction to shove him back--hard.

It takes a while for the lack of actual heat and pain to register, but by that time he's collapsed against the far wall, lights still blooming in his vision and his ears ringing loudly.
"Now that," he says, louder than necessary, to compensate for the deafness in his ears. "That is some trick."
