...And I think the idea of me being a warden is pretty funny, actually, considering I'm really just an apprentice. But I guess things are different here. Well, obviously things are different here, since I can actually use this nifty little Blackberry-thing, without it shorting out in my hands.

Oh--does anyone know of a good place to take a dog to to his business? I mean--Mouse is pretty polite about these things, but he's going to have to go eventually.

[Suspiciously narrowed eyes. She is so onto you.]

*holds up one finger, pretending to be all wise*

Nonsense. I did not walk down the hall. *his door is too close to count it as 'down the hall'*

[Is still very skeptical. She knows you too well.]

Okay, I give up. How did you get here so fast?

Magic, of course. *that magical ability to walk two steps*

You are so full of it, boss. [Realizes that they're still standing in the doorway, and her mom would be so embarrassed by her rudeness.] Uh. You know what they say about people who lurk in doorways. [Moves so he can come in.]

And yet you still fall for it sometimes. *he reaches over real quick to pat his own door* I'm just right here. Better to keep an eye on you. *he's completely teasing as he walks in, only to be knocked backwards by Mouse's enthusiastic hello*

[Gapes for a moment.] That is so unfair. How can I get into trouble if you're right next door? [But then Mouse is bowling Harry over, and she's laughing.]

*he can't say it, but bwahaha that's the whole point XD* Ooof, Mouse, hey buddy... *attempts to keep Mouse from suffocating him with fur and body mass*

[Mouse is giving him happy doggy kisses.]

I think he's happy to see you.

*is going to need a towel*

Y'think? *he laughs, finally managing to sit up, rubbing Mouse behind his ears*

It seemed like a possibility.

[glances at him thoughtfully]

So--interesting place, huh?

You could say that again. I'm certain this place could give certain parts of the Nevernever a run for its money.

So "oh god, oh god, we're all gonna die?"

That's pretty much the gist of it, yes.

[laughs] Well, at least we don't run the risk of being bored.
