You know, this all sounds really familiar. Where have I heard this kind of pointless infighting and self-righteous fingerpointing before? Oh, I remember. The White Council. No wonder it feels just like home.

Hey, tater-tot: shut the hell up. What Stephanie and Howie have both prompted discussion-wise has been constructive and the shit you're spewing is counter-productive and misleading. Way to contribute absolutely nothing of value to the warden community.

My problem isn't with the helpful suggestions. It's with the implication that most of us are doing fuck-all while--forgive the expression--the inmates are running the asylum. We're doing our best, and sometimes? Shit happens. Things slip through. And with approximately half of the population looking for ways to break the rules? It's going to happen. So we have to just keep doing what we can, when we can, and where we can.

...but without discussing anything because it's all pointless finger pointing, right? God forbid we should communicate! Pardon my French, Neil, because I know you're reading this.

Probably not, but I'm kind of tired of the implication that we're all incompetent morons. We're doing our best, here, and things are going to slip. It's the nature of the beast.

All? No, of course not. But some of it? Really yes.

Communication is great. The "you all are useless tools" gist that I keep getting? Not helpful.

This might be the first time I've laughed all day. White Council--like white magic and white hats, you know? They think they're the good guys, and they are the lawmakers.

Yeah, me too. I mean, there are plenty of wardens who aren't doing their jobs, but they're not going to pay attention to these posts anyway. I don't love feeling like I'm being attacked for not being able to be everywhere keeping track of everything all the time. It's hard enough getting my inmate to respect me, I don't need to feel like I have to prove myself to the other wardens, too.

I guess I was hoping for better. We're supposed to be the good guys, right?

Yeah. All white, all in charge. I get it. Hence my commentary.

No kidding. I'm walking a fine line between keeping tabs on my inmate, and giving her space. So far, she hasn't violated my trust, but if something happens, I know everyone's going to be asking "Well, where were you?" I was right here? Trying to foster trust!

Posting pointless, defensive bait to stir the pot? Not helpful. Make some friends if you absolutely have to flail around for attention. Or start a constructive argument with Altar Boy and Blondie.

I do not think the implication is there that you are reading.

If I really did think the high majority of you were incompetent? I would not ask for information to be provided, I would just seek out what I could discover for myself.

I do not think wanting to keep on top of things by whatever means we have avaliable is the same as implying incompetence. I am aware most of us do our best. But I also think a coordinated 'best' is better than everyone doing their individual best. We ought to discuss points where we can improve, nothing more. I do not think I was aggressive or 'finger pointing' in any respect.

Why does it have to be a color? Hey, why even specify at all? Have ya got a lot of councils? I mean, if I say, "The Council is a bunch of douchebags", you'd know who I'm talking about, right?

I actually was really impressed by your suggestion of a weekly report to all get on the same page. There does seem to be a general lack of communication about important events, and having some kind of news posting is a good idea.

On that note: my inmate (Amanda Young) has been quiet and generally cooperative, if somewhat abrasive. She's performing her assigned duties, and hasn't been making any trouble.
